Police in Pensacola are not sure why a man was driving around with two gunshot wounds in his leg. There were no reports of a shooting, and officers only discovered the wounds after the man crashed his vehicle.
According to reports, a man was traveling on East Olive Road at approximately 2 p.m. The man was driving a Ford F-150 and crossed a turn lane, entering the opposite lane of traffic. A semi-truck was headed toward the man, and his truck clipped the left side of the big rig. The collision resulted in the semi losing a tire. The tire struck another vehicle.
Police responded to the scene, and they discovered that the man driving the truck had two gunshot wounds in his left leg. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is trying to determine when and where the man was shot. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. The other drivers involved in the collision were not injured.
The man driving the pickup truck was charged with driving with an open container and careless driving.
